About Cynthia

   Cynthia LaCruz, is a Singer, Actress, and Mother who was born in the Bronx and raised in Washington Heights.  In 2011 she released her first Latin studio album, Borra, under Cundeamor Music in the Dominican Republic- the island from which her parents emigrated from.  

    She has a B.A. in Theatre from Lehman College. Past college theatre credits include: Norca in Our Lady of 121st Street, Sherry/Renata/Desi in Passing Strange, and Ophelia in Hamlet, for which she was nominated to compete in the KCACTF Irene Ryan Scholarship for Region 1.  

    Her latest theater credits are with One-Eighth Theatre's Numbness: Chapter 2 for the 25th ICE Factory Festival at the New Ohio Theatre, and L’Atelier Theatre/Actors Without Borders’ production of the Franca Rame Project at the Irondale Theater for their On Women Festival.
